APPLICATION OF WEAPON COMPLEXES WITH AVIATION BARGAINING AMMUNITION IN PRESENT AND FUTURE MILITARY CONFLICTS

During the revolution in military affairs, which began at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries, a new type of high-precision weapon was created - loitering ammunition. Combining the advantages of a classic reconnaissance drone and a guided aerial bomb, in a number of tactical scenarios, these “kamikaze” drones proved to be able to compete with both cruise missiles and manned combat aircraft, as well as various artillery and ground-based missile systems, offering a more efficient and less expensive solution to the problem of fire destruction of a wide range of enemy ground and surface targets in terms of expended resources. The first book of the cycle provides a general analysis of the history of the creation and development of loitering ammunition. The rapid development of unmanned aerial vehicles for military purposes and high-precision aircraft weapons has become one of the most important areas of the new revolution in military affairs, which is taking place today, literally before our eyes. The start of this revolution was given by the leading countries of the world at the turn of the century and millennium and was due to serious advances in a number of key areas of science and technology, as well as a radical change in the views of the military command and a wide range of military specialists of the world's leading militarily states on the nature of new generation wars and on how these wars should be waged in order to achieve a quick victory over the enemy or opponents. The article, based on the analysis of materials from foreign information sources, considers the purpose, features of application, characteristics and advantages of modern and promising models of aviation weapon complexes with aviation barrage ammunition, which are or are planned to be adopted by the aviation of the leading countries of the world. Based on the results of the analysis, the main trends in the development of this class of weapons are considered. The experience of local wars and armed conflicts of the last decades, measures for the construction and development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the views of the leaders of leading foreign states on the preparation and conduct of military operations are also reviewed, testifying to the growing role of complexes with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of various types and purposes. A large number of new samples of this class of aviation weapons are being considered, as well as possible options for the development of aviation barrage ammunition. The requirements for aviation barrage munitions, such as operational, tactical and system requirements, are also revealed.
