The current scientific and technical task regarding the development of a methodology for substantiating the appropriate ways of further operation of the optical-electronic sighting systems of the Su-27 and MiG-29 aircraft of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to ensure the specified effectiveness of the combat use of these aircraft was considered.The purpose of the article is to develop a methodical approach to maintaining the proper level of serviceability of optical-electronic sighting systems of aircraft, formalizing the task and obtaining certain recommendations for the maintenance of the specified military aviation equipment.For this, as criterion functions in peacetime, the cost of funds to ensure the required technical condition, the probability of trouble-free operation of the product during the operational time, the serviceability factor or the coefficient of readiness of the products, and in a special period the number of aircraft departures, the cost of funds and the probability of failure-free operation of the product are proposed.The structure of the methodical apparatus for ensuring a given level of serviceability of products of on-board equipment of military aircrafthas been developed.Mathematical expressions for quantitative evaluation of possible ways to ensure the further operation of optical-electronic sighting systems are given, as well as proposals for adjusting their maintenance regimes.
