Technical outline of a prospective light aviation multipurpose strike complex of tactical aviation

The article presents a comparative analysis of modern light tactical aircraft that can be adapted for the needs of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, taking into account the experience of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The analysis of recent research and publications was carried out in order to form a technical outline of a promising light aviation multi-purpose strike complex of tactical aviation for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine based on a comparative analysis of existing models, taking into account combat experience, economic constraints and requirements for integration with modern weapons systems, which would have significant potential for rapid modernization in accordance with the changing challenges of war, as well as the potential for serial production in Ukraine or international cooperation. The research methodology was applied according to the following main comparison criteria: combat load, avionics, armament, compatibility with NATO standards, cost. Research method: qualitative comparative analysis of five aircraft models that are already in service or available for purchase. The latest research indicates the active development of light tactical aircraft created on the basis of training and combat platforms. Based on the analysis, a technical outline of a promising light aviation multi-purpose strike complex of tactical aviation was formed, which meets the requirements of modern combat, has low operating costs, high maintainability and compatibility with NATO standards. The concept of a multi-purpose aviation platform with an open architecture, capable of rapid modernization and integration with air defense systems and UAVs, is proposed. A number of main differences in views on the pre-war use and role of tactical aviation are taken into account. Five examples of light tactical aircraft are given, some of which were created on the basis of deep modernization of the basic version of a training and combat aircraft. Two tables have been developed for use in comparative analysis. The comparative analysis performed can be used as a basis for further research, feasibility studies, as well as formulated requirements for serial production at Ukrainian aircraft factories, joint production of a promising light aviation multi-purpose strike complex for tactical aviation, or for urgent delivery of such aircraft to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
