correspondence of the topic of the article to the subject of the collection and specialization of its section to which it is submitted;

compliance of the article with the requirements established by edition;

observance by the authors of the article of the rules of use of sources of reference and citation;

compliance of the article with the requirements of Art. 3 of the Law of Ukraine “On Printed Mass Media (Press) in Ukraine” (on the inadmissibility of abuse of freedom of activity of print media).

In addition, with the use of automated means, the submitted article is checked for plagiarism / self-plagiarism and the level of originality (uniqueness).

The article is rejected by the editors if it does not meet the thematic areas of the collection, the requirements of Art. 3 of the Law of Ukraine "On printed mass media (press) in Ukraine", or contains explicit plagiarism. In other cases of non-compliance with the established requirements, the article is returned to the author (authors) to eliminate the identified shortcomings.

Literary editing of the article with correction of minor grammatical and stylistic errors is carried out in the edition of the collection at the stage of preparation of the article for publication. However, if a significant number of such errors are found during the submission of the article, the article is also returned for revision.

If the article meets the formal criteria for acceptance by the editors, it is sent to the reviewer, who is determined by the editor-in-chief of the collection.

The reviewer draws up a review on a standardized form prepared by the editors. To ensure an impartial independent assessment and to avoid conflicts of interest, the names of the authors of the article are not indicated on the review form. The reviewer evaluates the scientific level of the article according to certain quality criteria and provides in writing to the editor-in-chief of the collection his comments on the identified shortcomings, conclusions and recommendations.

Criteria for expert evaluation of the quality of the article by the reviewer:

relevance of the problematic issue to which the article is devoted;

correct choice of research method;

scientific novelty of the obtained results;

reliability (sufficient confirmation) of the facts given in the article;

absence of data fabrication and falsification in the article;

the validity of the statements and conclusions of the authors;

compliance of the structure and content of the article with the academic style of presenting the material;

no technical errors.

A specific list of criteria for the quality of the article considers the specialization of the section of the collection to which the manuscript is submitted.

Based on the review received, the editor-in-chief of the collection makes one of the options:

accept the article for publication;

return the article for revision;

reject the submission.

The decision of the editor-in-chief is made out by his signature on the review form. After that, it contains information about the authors and the review is sent for storage to the editorial archive. If it was decided to publish the article, after approval of the issue of the collection on the review is marked with the number and year of issue.

In the case of returning the article for revision, the review cycle is repeated with special attention to eliminating the identified shortcomings.

In any review cycle, the editor-in-chief may decide to involve additional reviewers in evaluating the quality of the article.
